Product Release Notes: January 2025

What features were released for Broadlume Rollmaster (BMS) in January 2025?

Product Release Notes: January 2025 Update

Quick PO: Streamlined Purchase Order Creation

Quick PO is a powerful new addition to our Order Entry system that dramatically reduces the time spent creating purchase orders, especially for jobs with multiple line items.

Direct access from Order Entry (OE) and OE Item Selection screens via “Quick PO” button.  Intelligent interface that consolidates multiple job lines into single purchase orders

Understanding Quick PO Eligibility The "Can Quick PO" column indicates whether a line item is eligible for automated purchase order creation. Here's how eligibility is determined:

A line item is eligible for Quick PO if all of the following conditions are met:

  • No Available Inventory: There is no available inventory to assign in any of your visible branches.

  • No Pending POs: There are no incoming purchase orders from which to reserve the required quantity.

  • Basically, Qty on Order & Qty Available must both = 0. Otherwise, it's important that a human reviews the amounts needed.

Important Notes:

  • You can override the Quick PO eligibility and manually force items onto the same PO, even if they are not automatically eligible.

  • For identical SKUs, Quick Assign will create a single purchase order line with multiple PO pointers to optimize ordering.

  • You can right click and change the vendor if there’s a preferred substitute.

  • Full compatibility with floor plan comments

Order Entry Improvements

We're continuously working to improve the speed at which you can get things done in Rollmaster / BMS. Along with the newly added Quick Assign and Quick PO features, we've made these workflow improvements:

  • Smarter Screen Navigation

    • Inventory Skip: The system automatically bypasses the inventory assignment screen when no inventory is available, taking you directly to the PO screen

    • PO Creation Shortcut: When there are no open purchase orders to add lines to, the system automatically skips to the Create PO screen

These improvements, combined with our new Quick Assign and Quick PO features, represent a significant evolution in making Order Entry more efficient and user-friendly.
