How do you send leads to RLM using Zapier?
What you will need:
-
A Retail Lead Management (RLM) account
-
RLM Pipeline API Key
-
Must request from RLM Support
-
-
RLM API field names
-
You can see the standard API field names here. If you are using custom fields, you’ll need to contact RLM support to get those API values.
-
-
Zapier account
Setting-up your Zap:
-
Log into your Zapier account
-
Go to Zaps > Create New Zap
-
Choose a trigger
-
This is where your leads will be coming from. Zapier has a number of integrations with popular tools such as Shopify, Acuity Scheduling, Hubspot, Salesforce, and 5000+ other options.
-
-
Select the Event that you want to trigger sending a lead
-
Common options are things like: New Appointment, New Order, New Contact, etc.
-
-
Connect your third-party account by signing in via Zapier and authorizing the connection
-
Test the trigger. You should see a few example records and their associated data. Choose one and press ‘Continue with selected record’
-
You’ll be prompted to choose an action. Select Webhooks by Zapier
-
Choose POST as the Event type and click Continue
-
Enter a url in the following format:
https://app.retailleadmanagement.com/api/YOURRLMAPIKEY/leads -
Select
formas the Payload Type -
Fill in the Data section:
-
Fill in the API Field name for an RLM field that you want to populate
-
Search through available fields from the third-party app that your leads are coming from and choose the one that you want to map to that RLM field
-
Click the
+to add more mappings and repeat the same process until you have mapped all the fields.
-
-
Click Continue
-
Do not change any of the other options on this screen
-
-
Test the Step
-
This will send a lead into your RLM account
-
-
Access your RLM account and search for the newly created lead. Confirm that all the data is populating in the correct fields. If any data is missing or showing in the wrong field, you’ll need to go back to Zapier, click the Action tab, and make changes to the field mappings, then retest (this will create a duplicate lead but you can delete it once you are done testing).
-
Click Publish
-
It’s a good idea to do a final test by actually submitting a lead through whatever third-party system you are connecting (Hubspot, Shopify, etc.) and verifying that it makes it into your RLM account.

You’re good to go!
