How long do I have to void a transaction in RollMaster and/or in the web portal?
Applies to: Broadlume Payments
Does not cover: Cyncly Payments, Cyncly Pay, or Payments Flex
Note: Before batching out, you may only send back 100% of what was taken on that transaction. After the batch, you may choose to return any amount up to the amount taken via a REFUND.
A void will always be a cancellation of the full transaction amount because you have not yet passed the transaction through the processor to receive the funds. Card Present and Card Not Present transactions can be Voided until the transaction is batched, whether manually or auto batched.
The auto-batch happens based on the Eastern time zone, general auto-batch times for Card Not Present transactions are as follows:
EST- Can void until 8 pm batch time
CST- Can void until 7 pm batch time
MST- Can void until 6 pm batch time
PST- Can void until 5 pm batch time
Card-present transactions will be batched separately from transactions taken through RollMaster or your web portal. You can still void transactions before batching, but the times may vary due to the ability to adjust your batch time within your terminal settings and manually batch your terminal. The standard setup has the terminal batching at the same times as the one listed above.
Broadlume Payments will always attempt to Void a transaction before processing a refund. If a transaction can be voided, no transaction fee will be accrued.
