Under User Control 1 Disallow Cost Information to Show there is a sub-question that will prompt asking Allow Non-Catalog Labor/Special? The default is “Yes,” which allows a User to “freehand” Labor and Special Charge Line Items in Quote and Order Entry rather than select from the Catalog. Select “No” at this prompt to prevent the User from being able to “freehand.”
This question will only display if the permission for Disallow Cost Information to Show is set to “N” for no (the User sees cost).
With these permissions in place, the User will see a box at the bottom of the screen when adding line items to a quote or order that allows the free-hand entry.
