What is a high ticket limit and how can I adjust it?
Applies to: Payment Processing
Your expected High Ticket is the largest credit card or ACH transaction you regularly receive, or the maximum amount you anticipate accepting in a single transaction for the near future. Knowing this number helps to protect from fraud by identifying outliers. This is often an estimation but should be simple to accurately estimate.
Any transactions taken that are over the expected limit will still go through but may temporarily be held while an investigation is conducted to verify their authenticity or if something about the business has changed.
If you expect an abnormally high ticket to be transacted, you can contact Support in advance to help that transaction flow through more smoothly. If your business has changed to the point that you need your high ticket limit adjusted to keep risk inquiries from happening, you may contact Support and we can help you with that process as well. Usually, a few months processing statements or a few invoices will be all it takes to allow that dollar amount to be updated.
