Video: Special Pricing / Date Range Pricing .csv Export and Import This video shows how to print existing Special Pricing / Date Range Pricing to a .csv spreadsheet in order to make changes. Also covered are the steps needed to reimport the spreadsheet via the Special Functions menu. This can act as a helpful time-saver when editing Special Pricing / Date Range Pricing.
Special Pricing Hierarchy:
- Catalog Maintenance: List Price Sale field carries the lowest priority and is rarely used.
- Catalog (A-J) Pricing Maintenance/Print: A-J Margin Pricing overrides List Price Sale above.
- Catalog (A-J) Pricing Maintenance/Print: A-J Product Pricing overrides A-J Margin Pricing above.
- Special Pricing Mtc. (Date Range Pricing): the default Customer Type Pricing Level overrides both of the above.
- Special Pricing Mtc. (Date Range Pricing): the default Customer ID Pricing Level overrides all the above, but should not be used if Date Range Pricing by Management Company (see below) is set up.
- Special Pricing Mtc. (Date Range Pricing): Date Range Pricing by Customer Type overrides all of the above.
- Special Pricing Mtc. (Date Range Pricing): Date Range Pricing by Management Company overrides all of the above.
- Special Pricing Mtc. (Date Range Pricing): Date Range Pricing by Customer ID overrides everything.
Please Note: When a higher priority pricing hierarchy is programmed, it only impacts the range of items selected, leaving all other products to default to the next lowest programmed hierarchy. For example, if A-J Margin Pricing is set up for all Product Codes, it remains the default for all products, so that if only a handful of products are programmed with A-J Product Pricing, the remaining items will continue to default to A-J Margin Pricing, and so forth. This ensures that every product will always have a default pricing level.
