Job Cost Detail

Use this article to view the Job Cost Detail report, which displays detailed job cost and profitability information.
Does Not Cover: Job cost setup or maintenance; invoicing.
Menu Path: Job Cost > Reports > Job Cost Detail

This report will print by order date and displays a one line summation of all the costs on a Job, including commission, along with the total sale, the profit total, and the bottom line profit margin. Material must be assigned on a Job in order for material costs to appear on this report. Jobs that have been canceled in the system will reflect values on this report unless all of the order lines on those jobs have been deleted—even though material has been unassigned, the report will still display figures in the sales commission, total cost, total sale, profit, and margin columns if order lines are not deleted. To print this report for another Branch, you must switch to that Branch and then print this report. 

When you enter this report module, the system will prompt you to enter a Beginning and Ending order date to include on the report. The report will begin printing and the system will place you back in the Job Cost Reports menu.
