BMS Retail System
Release Notes v1808.2 – Q1 2020 In Progress
Sales Processing:
- In the Print Invoice program, where Bundling Lines has been set up, a change has been made when unchecking a line in the Bundle to not print. If Summary or Detail are selected for the Bundle, the value of the unchecked line will still be included in the Bundle Total. If you choose to show “Full Detail,” this change will not apply. This allows for Contract Adjustment lines to be added but not displayed.
- When exporting the Credit/Return report to Excel, you will see additional data in the export as follows: Credit Memo Branch, Territory Code for the Customer, and the Full Name of the Salesperson.
Inventory Control:
- In the Inventory Valuation (As Of) export to Excel, two new columns have been added to include the following: Product Type and Date Received.
- The Inventory Usage Report can now report on less than 12 periods. Previously you could only print for a minimum of 12, but the system now allows for entry of a number less than 12 in that field.

Installation System:
- The Installer Payables History report will now export full detail, including all the details that make up the totals on the report, to Excel. Once you have sorted through the data you wish to see on the report, you will click the Excel icon at the top left to see this new full detail export. Also, the Ship To Zip Code is also now being exported.
Accounts Receivable:

Accounts Payable:
- A new Edit Terms button has been added to the Invoice Inquiry screen in Open Item Maintenance. This programming was completed in response to the mills offering extended terms on a temporary basis, but will continue to be available moving forward. This applies to any existing unpaid Invoice from the All Invoices menu option. When you highlight an applicable Invoice and click the Invoice Inquiry button at the bottom, you will now see a new Edit Terms button at the top of the screen as follows:
When you click on this button, a Terms Update box will appear as follows:
From this box, you can enter in and change any of the Terms field, though it is primarily the Net field that has been impacted by recent events. When a new Date is entered, tab through until the Accept button is highlighted and be sure to click it to save the change. As a part of this automated process, the system will write an Invoice Note with a comment that states **TERMS UPDATED** along with the User ID and Time Stamp on the comment. When you exit out of the Invoice Inquiry screen and enter back, you will see an “*” in the Notes button for that Invoice. This note will always appear on the 2nd line of this screen unless Notes already exist, and then it will appear on the next available blank line.
