Covers clearing locks created by other users in Build Orders, Order Entry, Purchase Orders, and Invoices.
Menu path: Management Functions > Unlock Jobs, Quotes, PO's, Etc.
In RollMaster, if a User exits out of a module by shutting down the program, or if something happens to cause the system to shut down unexpectedly, the system may lock the User out of that file upon re-entry. For example, a User can get locked out of a particular Job or Quote. When this happens, the Unlock Jobs, Quotes, PO’s, Etc. module should be used to correct the problem.
When you enter this module, the screen will appear as follows:
In the Choose Type of Records (1) box, click to select the record type that needs to be unlocked. You can only choose one type at a time. At the Choose Branch (2) field, use the drop-down arrow to switch to another Branch if applicable. At the Enter Number To Clear Lock (3) field, enter the Record Type Number that needs to be unlocked or leave this space blank to clear locks on all of the records in the selected Type. Click the Unlock button to complete the process.
Please note: if your User ID matches the one that is locking the Job/Quote, you can clear the lock from the “On-Screen Message” instead of accessing this program from Management Functions or the Home key.
