This feature can be used to scan catalog and inventory barcode labels to check pricing and stock on items in the BMS System. The catalog item and any existing inventory must exist in BMS for the scanning to work. Also, this app works on both iPhone and Android mobile devices. Please note that the barcode number can be typed manually rather than scanned if/when applicable.
To utilize the scan feature from the BMS Mobile app, follow the steps below:
- First, download the BMS App for Android or iPhone. Directions can be found here.
- After completing the initial setup, log in using your BMS User ID and password in all CAPS.
- Once your profile is set up, use the Menu button to access the Inventory Scan feature:
The Menu function is in the upper left corner of the app:
Once you click Menu, choose Inventory:
You will see an "index.html" pop-up as the scanner initializes. Click OK to scan.
Alternatively, click Cancel to bypass the scanner to perform a manual search.
The scan feature will initialize, allowing you to automatically scan a bar code for items existing in your Inventory and/or Catalog:
Once a bar code is scanned, the app will return information on Pricing and Stock in the system:
