PDF Writer "Fail to Send Mail!" Error Message If you receive a Microsoft error stating "Fail to send mail!" when printing to email, it is most likely an issue with a Microsoft update and not a BMS programming issue.
Recent Microsoft updates have blocked the ability for Outlook to send an email from BMS. Because we've seen many occurrences of this, we have compiled some advice for working through the issue:
- One option may be upgrading Outlook/Office to the latest version, or if you are not using Exchange as your email back end and do not need Outlook, you may consider using another email client.
- As a workaround, we can suggest the following: change your RMPDF preferences to view the PDF instead of emailing, save the PDF manually & attach using outlook to email. Attached is an image of RMPDF preferences. (You will want to un-check the box labeled Email PDF after saving.)
- Other clients have been able to find a fix online by searching the error on the internet.
