Depending on whether you are a RollMaster user or are working out of the web portal, all transactions should be initiated from one of those two locations and sent to the terminal in order to keep the integration working. In RollMaster, you can initiate a transaction through a Deposit or Post Customer Payments to send the correct dollar amount to the terminal. If you are working in the web portal, you will select the 'Send to Terminal' option on your Take Payment page and enter the dollar amount. You do not have to fill anything else out. The transaction will appear on your terminal so that you can swipe, tap or insert the card for payment. Terminals can be named to easily differentiate when working with more than 1. To rename a terminal contact support.

Set up: Your Broadlume Payments terminal will need to be turned on and connected to the internet, either through WIFI or an ethernet cable, in order to begin processing payments. It is already set to connect to your bank and web portal. The terminal will need to be plugged into a power outlet at all times, as a battery is not included.

You can connect to WIFI using the Settings option once the terminal is powered on. If you need a password, the generic manager password is 1234.

An ethernet cable can be plugged into the pedestal that comes with the terminal. Once connected to the internet, you can go back to the apps screen and click on the AURA app. You should see the following POS online screen. Your terminal is now awake and ready to receive a transaction.

When it comes to taking payments the most secure method is to insert the card’s chip into the chip reader. The second most secure options are swiping and tapping. Entering a card manually, whether on the terminal or into the web browser will be your least protected option when it comes to credit card chargebacks, or disputes.

With CP tokenization turned on, cards that are swiped, inserted, or tapped on the terminal will tokenize when processing a transaction. Apple Pay and Google Pay are unable to tokenize.

Transactions over $50 will trigger a signature line. This signature will print out on the receipt as well for additional documentation a transaction was authorized.

When more paper is needed you can search for Dejavoo QD4 Paper or 2¼ x 50 thermal paper rolls. Paper can be found at numerous vendors including Terminal Depot and Amazon.
